The perpetrators behind this publication believes the loose collective which has been quaintly termed as "the scene" needed a slightly more concrete direction (if one could call it that).

Hopefully, within these pages, individuals will: Be able to ulilize it as a forum to present their own manifesto; Come across some sonely required information (for those who frequently don't have a clue); Find various opportunities to laugh at themselves, because no on in the scene should take themselves that seriously (otherwise, why go to the clubs?)

Now, by no means should the Greater Philadelphia area get the impression that this 'zine is solely the voice of Strategic Art Commandos. We welcome and strongly urge you to submit to us anything you deem worthy of beeing incluided in Slambook. Stories, features, artwork, photography (b & W), questions, comments and or hate mail. On the following pahe you should find instructions concerning how and where to send aformentioned (and only the adormentioned).

Our policy is to cover music and other related subjects on a case-by-case basic. The 'zine will be less about music and more about the people in the scene, what interests them, and what do they have to say. We consider this to be an ambitious undertaking, especially in a lethargic mecca such as Philadelphia. Regardless, Slambook's primary platform is about taking action through expression.
